◆伝統的な日に奇を衒う必要はありません。

但し、日本の商店街で流れている、ジングル・ベルとか「サンタが街にやっている」は、

如何にも、アメリカ風で、軽薄で、厳かさがありません。

私には信仰がありませんが、ロンドン駐在員の頃、クリスマス前になると、

街中至る所で、アマ、プロ。編成も色々の金管アンサンブルがいて、讃美歌を吹いている。

あの光景は、美しいと思いましたし、なにしろ、どこを歩いていても、大好きなラッパの音に

身を浸しているのです。至福のときですね。さて、昨年と同内容ですが、順番だけ、

適宜入れ替えます。

チョン・ミョン・フン氏の「ミレニアム・コンサートに於ける『ハレルヤ』と書いてありますが、

YouTubeで情報不十分。オケ、コーラスがわかりませんが。とにかく。

いいですね。因みにこの「メサイア」はトランペット奏者が最も嫌がる曲の一つです。

休んでいる時間の方が長くいきなり高音で目立つパートを吹かなければならないので、

間違えるリスクが高いのですな。


次は、クリスマス・オラトリオの一番最後、第64曲をジャーマン・ブラスがアレンジして演奏したもの。

上手いですね。原曲でもトランペットは細かい動きをするのですが、一体、バッハの時代の

ナチュラルトランペットで、どうやって吹いたのか？　こればかりは出来ることならば、タイム・マシンで

その時代に飛び、みてみたいものです。
