◆まず、お馴染みの曲をイギリスの教会の聖歌隊の美しいコーラスでお聴き下さい。

　私はクリスマスに人を集めて、どんちゃん騒ぎしたりするのは、嫌いなんです。

しかしですね。キリスト教徒にとってやはりクリスマスというのは厳かな日なのですね。

ですから、この日の為に書かれた曲には、言い方が適切じゃないかも知れませんが、「気合いが入っ」ているように思います。

難しい宗教曲はいくらでもありますが、それは、まあ、クリスマスにご紹介しなくても良いでしょう。

今日は、読者の皆様のご多幸を祈って、曲を集めました。

堅苦しいのはありません。お馴染みの曲です。ただ、本当にヨーロッパ人の教会の聖歌隊のコーラスを、

オルガン伴奏でお聴きになったことは、皆さん、あまり、無いのではないかと思いまして、イギリスのある教会に属する聖歌隊の録音から拾いました。



初めはこれです。敢えて曲名を書きません。

これは、ヘンデル作曲となっていることがありますが、本当は、19世紀のアメリカ人、ローウェル・メイソンという人が作曲したそうです。

原語の歌詞は、検索すると少しずつ違うのですが、大体次の通りです。原曲名は"Joy to the World"です（日本では、「もろびと こぞりて」ですね）。
