●読了：The Rose and the Beast: Fairy Tales Retold(Francesca Lia Block)
なかなかおもしろかった。普段インパクトの強い物語に慣れてるからちょっと食い足りなさが残るけど、その後を引くようなつかみ所のなさも悪くない。少女趣味で、ロリっぽくて、エロチックな感じ。かなりストレートな表現と、女の子の空想が違和感なく同居している、なんとも不思議な味わいのフェアリーテイル。やっぱりこの作家、好きだなぁ。印象に残ったのはSnow（白雪姫）とBeast（美女と野獣）かな。
しかし、この本の余白の多さは何？ ページの大きさに対して、文字数がやたら少ない！（＾＾；

Beauty's father thought that he was through having children.

She came that night like every girl's worst fear, dazzling frost star ice queen.
他の本もどんどん読みたくなってしまった。Violet & Claireとかどうかな、買ってみようか。最近翻訳が出たけど読むなら原文で読みたいし。
