CYMA’S MURMUR

"THE TIGER'S CHILD"

One of this book's themes is something like "You shouldn't tame a cat you've found on the street if you can't take it home and take care of it to the end."

The situation seems more harsh after a little happy moment.

Sheila said to Torey.
"I'm not your property anymore. You don't own me. You didn't create me!"
"Because I didn't want to remember being too happy. I didn't want to think about those times, because I'd cry. Remembering bad things never bothers me. I think, 'Well, that's shit.' And pretty soon it was gone."

Did Torey create a better Sheila?
No.
Did Torey help Sheila to live a better life?

I'm not sure.

There isn't a happy ending, because she keeps living.
But I hope she would be happy.
