よくよく読んでみれば、意味はわかるな。
ラムセスのパートでよくわかってなかったのは、
一部はモーゼに、一部は王に対して言っているってのが、
つかめてなかったからみたい。
ラムセスの"I hold back this scream."以下のパートも、
こんな事態を巻き起こしたモーゼにご立腹と見ればわかりやすい。
しかし、"hold back"とか言ってる割には、
思いのたけを派手にシャウトしてるんだけど・・・
ネフェルタリの歌詞は読めば読むほど、
「おいおい、ラムセスの立場は？」って思う。
そんなだから、「後味悪い」って言われちゃうのよ。
よく見ても理解できないのが、
Convictions lead to confidence.
どういう意味？
このセリフ、最初は王に、二度目はモーゼに対して
発せられるんだよなぁ。
原詞では、"Avec l'assurance que donne les certitudes."。
それを機械翻訳にかけると、
"With the insurance which gives the certainty."
んーやっぱりわかんない。
"Linked to the lack he resembles"もわかりにくい。
ニュアンスはなんとなく理解できる気もするけど、
彼を失ったまま、ではなく、resemblesなものが足りないわけよ。
こちらは、原詞は、
"Uni au manque qui lui ressemble"。
機械翻訳は、
"Linked with the lack which resembles to him"
ってわけで大して変わらず。
難しいな。
