I stayed at THE RITZ-CARLTON OSAKA till today. In the first night, some grate noises awoke me. It sounded like groan. It was three and half in the morning. It was long and repeated. I was a little bit frightened in the dark, I didn't think it came from other room but from the inward of the wall. I called a room clerk and she came to my room immediately. She arranged for a room to be changed. I could appreciate her rapidity and kindness. Another clerk said that it was caused by the earthquake-resistant construction of this hotel. So, It was just the groan of this hotel.

　急用で年末に大阪に赴き、数日リッツ・カールトンに宿を取った。ここは大阪市内ではもっとも快適に滞在できるホテルであると思うが、今回は外出が重なって、あまり部屋にいることが出来なかった。朝食で摂ったクロワッサンがなかなか良い味だった。
