"The Golden Compass"を遅々とした進みで読んでいる。

Lyraやgyptianの英語が所々文法的に変だ。
特に気にせずに読んでいたのだけれど、

We was ...

という文章が出てきた瞬間、このときのWeはLyraとdaemonだったので、
二人は一心同体だからこの世界では一人称を使うのが定番とかだったりして！
人が二人いるときは、ちゃんとwereを使うんじゃないの？

と閃いた。

どうもそういうことではなかったようだけど。

It don't ...

みたいな動詞の不一致は、自分も結構やらかすくせに、
読んでいるとかなり目につく。

ゴツゴツとひっかかる感じ。

ちゃんとひっかかる自分をほめたくもあるのだけれど、
ひっかからないけど文法的に間違ってるところが他にもたくさんあるんじゃないか？
というのが不安。

っていうのはどうなんだろうなぁ。これもかなりひっかかるんだけど。





Last night I went to bed at 22:30 and I woke up at 5:00 this morning.
I washed the dishes, cleaned the toilet, took a bath, washed my clothes,
checked my e-mail and kept my cashbook.

I'm satisfied with the things I did in this morning spare time.

But the drawback of getting up early is that I becomes sleepy again before I leave for work.

碇の一番目の意味が「希望」だというのはあまりにも意外で、でもいいなと思った。
