token とは、「しるし、特色、象徴」という意味で、米語では、coupon（クーポン）と同じように使われています。

※tokenは言語学の専門用語として、そのまま使われています。

「抜歯する」を英語で何というでしょうか？
歯医者に行って、抜歯した際に、
先生がカルテにextractと書いたのを私は発見しました。
正解は
pull a tooth
extract a tooth
have a tooth out/pulled （歯を抜いてもらう）
です。

These words are a little confusing for me.
よく私が混同してしまうのは、緯度と海抜です。

ちなみに、latitudeには、「自由（裁量）」という意味もあります。

corner （動）窮地に追いつめる、買い占める、〜をすみに置く。
名詞で、角や、曲がり角、窮地という意味のほうは有名ですが、
動詞としての使い方もあるのですね。

ただし、commersial endorsementという場合には、ＣＭ出演という意味です。
ニュアンスを一番伝えてると思うのは、COBですね。（◇）

猛攻撃、暴力的な攻撃、襲撃、攻撃、暴行
動詞としても使われます。
悲しいことに、最近よく新聞で目にする語です。
今日の記事の見出しにも使われました。
