trudge off though the snow :　雪の中をとぼとぼ歩いて出かけていく

　trudge というのは、ゆっくりと疲れた調子で歩く（「英和活用」より）意味で、そこに副詞のoff（出発して、立ち去って）と前置詞のthough(〜を通って)が付いたもの。

　And together they all trudged off through the snow to find the perfect Christmas tree.
