and looking up I noticed I was late.

four thousand holes in Blackburn Lancashire,
and though the holes were rather small,
they had to count them all,

入院してからの100日あまり、主治医ドクターはじめ、スタッフの皆さんのおかげで、楽しく過ごすことができた。ドクターとはプライベートなことも話せるようになった。ナースには階下に見える倒れた自転車を起こすことを頼んだりした。

毎朝、外の明るさに気がついて目覚めるという健康な生活にもすっかり慣れた。

海の色は天気でどんどん変わっていった。青かった夏の日。黒くなった嵐の日。

孤独な個室生活だったけど、心身ともにリフレッシュした。これまでの人生を振り返るたくさんの時間があった。

これから第2ステージに向かう。どうなるかわからない。

でも、この100日の猶予が、俺を強くしてくれたことに感謝したい。

俺、『気持ちは負けていないから』
