In its two other attempts (2004, 2006) , it reached the final round of Caribbean qualifying and didn't not enter in 2004 OR 2010. Led by Yolande Merone's five goals, Haiti was the only team to go unbeaten and untied in Caribbean qualifying. Seventeen-year-old goalkeeper Cynthia Cheny didn't allow a goal in five games as Haiti outscored its opponents 16-0.
