This was the first time what I saw the real of Sylvie Guillem ( I have her several videos). In this evening at Tokyo Bunka Kaikan theatre, I could see "www:WOMAN WITH WATER"(choreographer Mats Ek) and "BOLERO"(choreographer Maurice Bejart). I enjoyed her dance very much,indeed. Her sturdy steps, delicate motion of her hands and coquettish moving of her long tresses moved me deeply. Maybe BALLET-GOERS isn't enthusiastic her intelligible dance. But I: absolutely not the BALLET-GOERS love her dance.
It's my impression of the interview in her video that she is a candid and intelectual person.I want to see that candid and intelectual (and beautiful) dancer performs insane woman. I mean "Sissi". I saw a fragment of "Sissi" in her video. And I can not forget Sissi's insane and beautiful expression.Sissi! Sissi!
I bought the postcards of her self-portrait with her signature at the theatre. It is so brilliant. If you go to her tour, do not miss this postcards.

　「シルヴィ・ギエム・オン・ステージ2001」を東京文化会館に観にいった。彼女を生で観るのははじめてだが、ヴィデオソフトはいくつか持っていて、佇まいの美しさ、ちょっと人間離れした動きにはとても惹かれていた。毎年のように来日していたのに、なぜか観にいくことができなかったのでとても楽しみにしていた。ヴィデオなどでの彼女の発言を観ていると、とても率直で頭の切れる人のようで、そういうところも好きだ。実際に彼女のバレエを観ていても、極めて自覚的なダンサーという感じがする。（他のバレエ・ダンサーが自覚的ではない踊りをするという意味ではない。というか他はよく知らない）　美しく、力強く、聡明で、ユーモアのセンスにも長けていて、しかもバレエ以外のことにはちょっとずぼらそうなところがとても好ましい。　

I went to the theatre "sphere mex" in Tokyo for "TOKYO COOLEST DANCE ALLIANCE". I expected to see the solo dance of Chie Ito. I wish to confess I am an enthusiast for her dance company " Strange Kinoko Dance Co." Their dance is what you might call a Contemporary Dance. But it is not difficult but so beautiful, so precise, so cool, so funny, so crazy and so lovely.
Today Chie Ito danced alone. She turned over like a baby. And she danced and hummed a song in pitch darkness. She interrupted her dance to just say hello to audience. It was crazy and lovely. I enjoyed her dance a great deal. I also enjoyed other dancers (Leni-Basso and Baneto) .
I shall go to next performance of "Strange Kinoko Dance Co."(The second performance of "Frill(mini)" at HARA MUSEUM in Tokyo Mar.2002).

　天王洲アイルのスフィア・メックスで"TOKYO COOLEST DANCE ALLIANCE"というソロ・ダンスの公演を観た。「レニ・バッソ」の、センサーをたたいてピアノ音や人の声をサンプリングした音源を鳴らしたり、ドラムスの生演奏をバックにしたりしながらのスタイリッシュなダンス、「発条ト」の時計やメトロノームの微かな音を背景にしたとても静かでとぼけた、しかし意外に真摯なダンスも面白かったが、お目当ては大ファンの「珍しいキノコ舞踊団」の主宰者、伊藤千枝のソロ・ダンスであった。ソロ・ダンスを公開するのははじめてであるらしいが、キノコ同様、可愛く、イカれていて、一筋縄ではいかぬものであった。踊りの途中で小学生のようなあいさつをはじめたときには、笑ってしまうとともに、なんと食えない表現者であろうと感動してしまった。キノコの次回公演「フリル（ミニ）」再演（来年3月、品川・原美術館にて）は必ず観にいきたい。昨年11月の初演は素晴しかった。　

I saw " Les commentaires d'Habacuc"(Choreographer Josef Nadj. Inspired by the work of Jorge Luis Borges ) this evening at SETAGAYA PUBLICK THEATRE,Tokyo .I also saw his latest work in Tokyo, "Woyzeck" February 2000. Josef Nadj's stage works were filled with mud and irony. He is a delicate cynic. I love his works. There were persons with no face in his works.They remind me the works of Francis Bacon. Oh yes, I also remind Jan Svankmajer's films.
Now, there are many Jan Svankmajer fan in Japan. And they are all young, charming girls. Do you believe such a thing? But it is true.

　世田谷パブリックシアターでジョセフ・ナジの「ハバククの弁明」を観た。この人の振付はダンサー同士の距離が異常に近い。身体を常にくっつけて踊っているという印象が強い。しかしとりわけて性的な隠喩を感じさせないのが奇妙だ。不条理の一語でも説明できないと思わせるところが面白い。彼はカーテン・コールで妙な仕草で挨拶して見せるけれども（「ヴォイツェック」でもそうだった）、いわれている以上に笑いに傾斜しているように思える。案外他愛ない道化芝居のようなつもりで、振付をしているのかもしれない。他愛ない道化芝居で別にかまわないと思いながら帰宅した。
　ところで「ハバクク」のこと。「ハバクク書」の預言者ハバククから来ているのであろうが、着想の元となったとされるホルへ・ルイス・ボルヘスの作品名を知りたい。ボルヘスはとても興味を感じる作家である。調べてみよう。
