It is Japanese title, in English "after the quake". This English title is more appropriate. I wrote that I found Murakami’s book at the bookstore. But I found it in the library. Nobody seemed to borrow it before. So I am the first person to borrow. I love the U.S. edition’s bookbinding, I would like to order other Murakami’s book. 本のタイトルは"after the quake"の方が確かにしっくりくる気がします。 この本の中ではかえるくんの話が一番好きで、 蜂蜜パイも相当好きな話でした。 たとえ天が落ちてきても、たとえ地が深く裂けても、 何て言う(おそらく間違っているがそんな感じの)表現がとても好きで、 それがどのように英訳されているかが楽しみです。 真っ先にかえるくんの話を読みながら、 タイトルの言葉を見つけて、 なんだかとてもきゅんとなってしまった次第です。 まあ原作を読んでいるからよく分かると言うのもそうだけど、 やっぱり村上春樹好きなんだよなあ、たぶん。 2時間ぐらいかけていても未だに読み終わらないのがとても悲しいけれども。 カフカくんは日本語版を今読んでいます。3回目。 だんだんナカタさんとホシノさんのコンビの方が面白くなってくるから不思議☆ って前も書いたけれども。 高松に行ったことが懐かしく思い出されます。 いつだっけ、もう3年も前だなあ。 |
