Modern Japanese society has been influenced by America. I can see a lot of American cultures everywhere in Japan. So I thought it wouldn’t be difficult to adapt American culture. But, actually it wasn’t. I found many cultural differences between the U.S and Japan. I’ve been lived in the U.S for a month. I still have difficulty to make myself understood to the U.S people. Though I studied English very hard in Japan, there is no confidence of English left. To make matters worse, I cannot make American friends. Of course I know that I have only to try to make contact with not only American people but also foreign students. But my English skill hinders from communicating. Now I know what I have to do, I have only to execute just now. Now it’s time to force myself into practice. Because Japanese government pays for my school expenses. It’s duty for me not only to improve my English skills but also to study higher education system in U.S. So far I have struggled my way upward from lowest level. I believe I can achieve this time. I’d like to make this opportunity fruitful. もう一コ I’ve been using Macintosh for about 8 years. Because my friend recommended me. Mac is cool, stylish and attractive. When I started using Macintosh, Mac OS wasn’t stable. It often froze, crushed. But interface was very easy to understand, moreover could customize easily. I could study how to use computer. At that time, Apple computer (Macintosh’s manufacturer) ’s business was very bad, faced to bankrupt. But since present CEO, Mr. Steve Jobs assumed in 2000, Apple computer released iMac, iPod, their business got much better. I bought iPod 5years ago. Nobody knew at that time. It cost 400$ with 5G hard disks. I’m impressed that present iPod has 60G within same size! Now, I have both Macintosh and Windows PC. I usually use Windows PC for work. I still love Macintosh. Now it has evolved to be stable, never freeze, in addition to be able to boot Windows XP. But I sometime miss my old Macintosh that often crushed. 自分の英語の実力が知れるな。ダメだこりゃ。 |
